NORTH STONINGTON- At approximately 2:21 PM the presence of the North Stonington Volunteer Fire Company was requested at the Pilot truck stop at exit 93.
There was overflow from a diesel fuel pump which was flowing toward storm drains in the parking lot. The fire department quickly barriered off the storm drains and put a call into the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

2:57 PM Tree on wires causing arcing. 428 Route 2.
3:04 PM Tree on wires, wires down causing brush fire. 210 Denison Hill Road.
3:12 PM Tree on house, house damaged. 39 Anthony Road.
4:12 PM Tree on wires, wires down. 472 Pendleton Hill Road.
4:16 Pole and wires down. Denison Hill Road.
Good samaritans Craig Bordeleau, of Griswold, and Joe Fillian, of North Stonington, clear a lane of Mains Crossing after a large tree fell across the road at approximately 2:25 PM. Craig operates a neighbors chainsaw while Joe drags the tree to the side of the road.
